For the sliders:
- 1 package 12 savory slider buns I used Kings Hawaiian savory rolls
- 1 cup pizza sauce
- 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1 6 oz bag of sliced pepperoni
For the garlic herb butter:
- 2 garlic cloves minced. you can also use 1 teaspoon of garlic powder!
- ½ cup salted butter melted
- 1 tsp dried oregano
- 3 tbsp grated parmesan cheese
Preheat the oven to 400℉ and line a baking sheet with parchment or aluminum foil. Spray with nonstick spray. In a small bowl, combine the garlic herb butter ingredients and set aside.
Keeping the rolls attached, carefully use a serrated knife to cut horizontally through the entire sheet of rolls, creating a top and bottom layer. Keep the rolls attached to each other as one large piece, which makes assembling and serving the sliders easier.
After slicing the slider buns into a top and bottom layer, gently lift the top layer off and flip it over so the cut side is facing up. Place the bottom layer on your baking sheet with the cut side up as well. Brush the garlic butter mixture generously onto the cut sides of both the top and bottom layers, ensuring every bite is infused with that delicious buttery garlic flavor.
Next spoon on 4-5 tablespoons of sauce on top of both sides with the garlic butter and use a spoon or spatula to evenly spread. Do not add too much sauce or these can become soggy!
Sprinkle about half of the cheese on the bottom buns on the baking sheet. Top with as much pepperoni as you'd like, I typically use about half the bag but really this is up to you! Use more if you prefer. Top with remaining cheese.
Flip the top buns back onto the bottom and brush the top with remaining garlic butter. Sprinkle with Parmesan cheese.
Spray aluminum foil with nonstick cookie spray and place over the top of the buns, tenting and sealing. Bake for 20-25 minutes, or until the cheese is all melted and the bottoms are toasted. Remove from the oven, remove the aluminum foil and allow to cool for 3-5 minutes. Slice and serve with additional pizza sauce on the side!
