S’mores Brownies

Looking for a way to spice up your basic brownies? Turn them into S’mores Brownies 🙂 It’s so easy to do! I added a Graham Cracker crust, similar to what you use when you’re making a cheesecake. Top with an easy marshmallow frosting, and don’t forget the Amoretti Natural S’mores Artisan Flavor. These are so so good and easy to make, you’ve got to try this recipe!Disclosure:  This post is sponsored by Amoretti.  As always, all opinions are my own.

Bake time and what type of pan you use are essential to nailing the perfect brownie. I know people can be very particular about their brownies so let me start by saying my preference is fudgy, and that’s how I designed these brownies to be. If you prefer cakey brownies bake for an additional 5-8 minutes. They’ll still be delicious and more cake like 🙂

When it comes to pans, you’ll want to use a 8×12 or 9×11 metal baking pan. Metal pans make the best cakes and brownies because they cook evenly throughout for the perfect bake every time. In general, unless a recipe specifically calls for a glass pan you are typically going to want to use metal.

This dessert is such a fun spin on your classic brownies. They’re just as easy to make as typical brownies but so much more flavorful and decadent!

Ingredients

For the crust:

  • 1 ½ cups graham cracker crumbs about 10 whole crackers
  • ½ cup salted butter, melted
  • ¼ cup granulated sugar

For the brownies:

  • 1 cup salted butter, melted
  • 2 tbsp vegetable oil
  • 1 ¼ cup granulated sugar
  • 1 cup light brown sugar
  • 4 eggs room temperature
  • 2 tsp vanilla extract
  • ½ tsp salt
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup cocoa powder
  • 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 1 tbsp Amoretti Natural S'mores Artisan Flavor

For the frosting:

  • 1 cup salted butter room temperature
  • 7 oz marshmallow fluff
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 3 cups powdered sugar
  • 3-4 tbsp milk or heavy cream
  • 1 tsp Amoretti Natural S'mores Artisan Flavor

Instructions

For the crust:

  • Grease and line a 8×12 or 9×11 baking pan with parchment paper. In a medium bowl combine the graham cracker crumbs, melted butter and sugar. Stir until combined and press evenly into the bottom of the prepared pan. Set aside until needed.

For the brownies:

  • Preheat the oven to 350°. In a large bowl combine melted butter, oil, granulated and brown sugar. Whisk to combine. Add in vanilla, eggs and Amoretti Natural S'mores Artisan Flavor and beat for 30 seconds, until the batter becomes a lighter brown.
  • Sift in flour, cocoa powder and salt. Mix lightly until just combined. Gently fold in the chocolate chips. Pour the batter into the prepared pan on top of the graham cracker crust and spread evenly. Bake for 25 – 30 minutes or until the center no longer jiggles. If you want fudgy brownies, do not over bake! If you prefer cakey brownies, bake for 5-8 minutes longer. Remove from the over and let cool completely before frosting. Once the brownies are cooled, make the frosting.

For the frosting:

  • In a large bowl combine the butter, powdered sugar, marshmallow fluff and vanilla extract. Beat together with a hand mixer (or in a stand mixer) until smooth. Add in 3-4 tbsp of milk or heavy cream, or until you reach desired consistency, and mix on medium speed until creamy and smooth.
  • Once the brownies have completely cooled, spread the frosting on top. Drizzle the remaining teaspoon of Amoretti Natural S'mores Artisan Flavor and use a spoon or spatula to swirl into the frosting. Slice and serve!

    Hi!

I live in Canada is it possible to omit the s’mores flavor? We don’t have it here.
