Pumpkin Spice Air Fryer Donuts

There’s something about fall that makes you crave all things pumpkin spice. If you’re looking for a quick and easy way to get your fix, these Air Fryer Pumpkin Spice Donuts made from store-bought biscuit dough are perfect! They’re light, fluffy, and have that warm, spiced flavor we all love about fall. The best part? You can make them in no time using your air fryer!

I use the Instant Pot Vortex Plus, which is great for getting that golden, crispy texture on the outside while keeping the inside soft and delicious.

Recipe tips

Choose the Right Dough: I recommend using the Pillsbury Grands biscuits because they puff up nicely and give you that perfect donut shape. Avoid flaky or layered biscuits, as they won’t hold the shape as well. I’ve used generic though and they also work!

Cutting the Donut Holes: If you don’t have a donut cutter, no worries! You can use a small bottle cap or even a shot glass to cut out the center. The donut holes are a fun bonus treat! You can air fry them at the same temperature for 4 minutes.

Cooking in Batches: Don’t overcrowd the air fryer. Air fryers work best when the food is spaced out, allowing for even airflow. Depending on your air fryer size, you may need to cook in batches. The Instant Pot Vortex Plus has a large capacity, making it easy to cook more donuts at once.

Don’t Overcook: Keep an eye on the donuts as they air fry. They can go from golden brown to overcooked quickly. For the best texture, I bake for 8 minutes total, flipping them halfway through.

These air fryer pumpkin spice donuts are a fun, easy way to bring the flavors of fall into your kitchen. The best part? You can whip up these sweet, spiced treats in no time. Happy fall baking!

Get flakey, layered donuts in minutes at home using an air fryer and some store bought biscuit dough! These are so delicious and perfect for the fall.
Prep Time 5 minutes
Cook Time 8 minutes
Course Breakfast, Brunch
Servings 8 donuts

Ingredients

  • 1 16.3 oz can of store-bought biscuit dough I use Pillsbury Grands
  • ½ cup unsalted butter melted
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 ½ tsp ground cinnamon
  • 1 ½ tsp pumpkin pie spice

Instructions

  • Preheat the air fryer to 375°. Pop open the can of biscuits and use a small round cookie cutter (I used ¼ inch one) to cut out a hole in the center of each biscuit to make a donut shape. After making the larger donuts you can either air fry these for 4 minutes to make donut holes or throw them away!
  • Once the air fryer is preheated space out 4 donuts. Air fry for 8 minutes, flipping over each donut halfway through to ensure both sides are golden brown.
  • Remove the donuts from the air fryer and dip in melted butter first and then the cinnamon sugar pumpkin spice mix to fully coat. Serve and enjoy!
