Ingredient Notes
These simple ingredients come together to create the ultimate s’mores-inspired treat.
Salted Butter Browning the butter adds a rich, nutty flavor that pairs perfectly with the chocolate and marshmallows.
Mini Marshmallows Marshmallows are melted into the cereal mixture, then another layer is toasted on top for that signature campfire flavor.
Cocoa Pebbles Chocolatey, light, and perfectly crispy, Cocoa Pebbles make these treats extra rich while still staying soft and chewy.
Graham Crackers A layer of graham crackers on the bottom gives every bite that classic buttery s’mores crunch.
Hershey’s Milk Chocolate Six full-size Hershey’s bars melt into a smooth chocolate layer that makes these taste just like a real campfire s’more.

Recipe Tips
- Keep a close eye on the broiler. Marshmallows toast incredibly fast.
- Browning the butter is well worth the extra few minutes.
- Press the cereal mixture gently into the pan so the bars stay soft and chewy.
- Sprinkle the graham crackers and chocolate chips on immediately after broiling so they stick to the marshmallows.
- For clean slices, lightly spray your knife with nonstick cooking spray between cuts.
Storage
Store leftover treats in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 3 days. For the freshest texture, enjoy them within the first two days while the cereal stays nice and crispy.
Can I Freeze These?
Yes! Wrap individual bars tightly in plastic wrap before placing them in a freezer-safe container or freezer bag. Freeze for up to 2 months. Thaw at room temperature before serving.
Frequently Asked Questions
Can I use Rice Krispies instead?
Absolutely! While Cocoa Pebbles give these treats a richer chocolate flavor, you can easily substitute Rice Krispies if that is what you have on hand. I have that version here!
Can I skip browning the butter?
You can, but I highly recommend keeping this step. It adds a rich, caramel-like flavor that really makes these stand out.
Can I use a kitchen torch instead of the broiler?
Yes! A kitchen torch works great for toasting the marshmallows if you prefer not to use the broiler.
Can I make these ahead of time?
Definitely! They are best enjoyed within the first couple of days but can easily be made the day before a party or gathering.
My Favorite Baking Tools
A few kitchen tools make this recipe even easier:

- An offset spatula for spreading the melted Hershey’s chocolate into a smooth layer.
- Parchment paper for easy removal from the pan.

Cocoa Pebbles S’mores Treats
Ingredients
For the treats:
- 1 cup salted butter
- 2 tsp vanilla extract
- 20 oz mini marshmallows
- ½ cup chopped Graham Crackers
- 9 cups Cocoa Pebbles
- 1 sleeve Graham Crackers
- 6 full size Hershey's Bars or 1 1/2 cups melted milk chocolate
For the topping:
- 2-3 cups mini marshmallows
- ¼ cup chopped Graham Crackers
- ¼ cup minin chocolate chips
Instructions
For the treats:
- In a large pot, melt the butter over medium heat. Continue cooking, stirring often, until the butter foams and turns golden brown with a nutty aroma (about 3–5 minutes). Pull off the heat.
- Line a baking sheet with foil or parchment paper sprayed lightly with nonstick cooking spray (this helps prevent sticking). Spread the 20 oz of marshmallows in an even layer and broil on low for 1-2 minutes, until golden and toasty. Watch closely, they toast quickly and can burn fast!
- Add the toasted marshmallows, vanilla extract and browned butter into a large bowl and mix to combine. Fold in the Cocoa Pebbles and 1 cup crushed graham crackers.
- Line a 9×13" pan with parchment paper. Place whole graham crackers in a single layer on the bottom. Line Hershey bars on top and broil on low for 1-2 minutes until melted. Spread the melted chocolate in an even layer.
For topping:
- Gently press the cereal mixture on top of the melted chocolate layer using a buttered spatula or wax paper. Pour 2-3 cups of mini marshmallows on top and broil on low for 1-2 minutes or until the marshmallows are toasted. Remove from the oven and top with more chopped Graham Crackers and mini chocolate chips.
- Allow dessert to sit for 20 minutes either at room temperature or in the fridge before cutting to allow the melted chocolate to set up. Slice and serve!
