Recipe tips

Make it Extra Crispy – If you love extra crunch, toast the bottom halves of the rolls in the oven for 5 minutes before adding the chicken.

Homemade Chicken Tenders – If you prefer you can use homemade breaded chicken instead of store-bought tenders. Just dip chicken cutlets in flour, egg, and breadcrumbs, then bake or fry until crispy.

Use Fresh Mozzarella – For ultimate meltiness, try fresh mozzarella slices instead of shredded cheese.

Spice It Up – Add a pinch of red pepper flakes to the marinara sauce for a little heat.

Add Pesto for a Twist – Spread a thin layer of pesto on the rolls before assembling for extra flavor.

One of the best things about this recipe is how versatile it is. While mozzarella and provolone are the go-to cheeses for that classic chicken parm flavor, you can easily swap them out to create your own variation. Try smoked gouda for a deeper, more savory bite, pepper jack for a spicy kick, or fresh burrata for an extra creamy, indulgent texture. If you’re a fan of sharp flavors, a little aged Parmesan or Pecorino Romano sprinkled in will add a salty, umami depth. You can even mix and match cheeses to create the ultimate melty, gooey bite.

These Chicken Parm Sliders also make the perfect weeknight meal because they come together quickly with minimal prep. If you’re using store-bought breaded chicken or leftover homemade cutlets, you can have these ready in under 30 minutes. Plus, they’re a complete meal when paired with a simple side salad or roasted veggies. The best part? They’re incredibly kid-friendly—perfect for little hands and picky eaters who love anything cheesy and crispy. Whether you’re feeding a hungry family or meal-prepping for the week, these sliders will save you time while delivering big on flavor.

  • 1 tsp Italian seasoning

For the sliders:

  • 12 slider buns
  • 1 25 oz bag of chicken tenders microwave according to instructions to warm

  • 1 ½ cups shredded mozzarella
  • ½ cup grated parmesan

Instructions

For the garlic butter:

  • In a small bowl whisk together melter butter, garlic powder and Italian seasoning. Set aside.

For the sliders:

  • Line a baking sheet with aluminum foil and spray with nonstick spray. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Slice the slider rolls in half horizontally, keeping them connected and place on the prepared pan.
  • Brush the bottom layer of rolls generously with garlic butter, then add a layer of provolone cheese, ensuring it covers the entire surface.
  • Arrange the crispy chicken tenders evenly over the provolone, then spoon marinara sauce over the top. Sprinkle shredded mozzarella and Parmesan cheese over the sauce, making sure to distribute it evenly. Place the top half of the rolls over the cheese layer, then brush the tops generously with more garlic butter.
  • Cover the dish with foil and bake for 15 minutes to allow the cheese to melt. Remove the foil and bake for an additional 5-7 minutes, or until the tops are golden brown and slightly crisp. Let the sliders cool for 5 minutes before slicing and serving. Enjoy warm with extra marinara sauce for dipping!
