Homemade Pepperoni Rolls

Pepperoni Rolls are the ultimate snack or appetizer, made with thawed frozen bread dough, garlic butter, mozzarella, pepperoni, and pizza sauce. Rolled up and baked until golden, they’re brushed with more garlic butter before slicing and serving. Soft, cheesy, and garlicky in every bite, these rolls are perfect for sharing (or not!)

Ingredients

  • 1 loaf frozen raw dough bread I used Rhodes
  • 4 tbsp salted butter melted
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp Italian seasoning
  • ¼ tsp kosher salt
  • ½ cup pizza sauce
  • 1 ½ cups shredded mozzarella
  • 20 slices pepperoni

Instructions

  • Thaw frozen dough for 20 minutes at room temperature or until it's soft and workable. In a small bowl, combine melted butter, garlic powder, Italian seasoning, and salt.
  • On a lightly floured surface, roll the dough into a rectangle (about 12x16 inches)
  • Brush a thin layer of garlic butter over the dough, leaving ½ inch around the edges. Spread on about 1/4 cup of pizza sauce, reserving the rest for dipping. Sprinkle mozzarella evenly over the top and add pepperoni slices.
  • Starting on the long side, roll the dough into a tight log. Pinch the seam and ends closed. Place seam-side down on a parchment-lined baking sheet. Brush the top with garlic butter. Bake at 350°F for 30 minutes, or until golden brown and cooked through. Brush with remaining garlic butter while warm. Let cool slightly, slice into rounds, and serve with extra pizza sauce for dipping.
